For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come.William Shakespeare Hamlet

A true gentleman to the very end. Diesel Hoss Miles passed away late morning on May 30, 2017 while on the way to our vet.  He was sitting in Jeannie's lap, his head resting next to Cody's arm, while Lashes kissed his face.  We're thankful his last thoughts were of pure joy on a car ride.

Diesel was born on Aug. 1, 2009.  We picked him up at a breeders house when he was just 7 weeks old, already weighing a whopping 16lbs!  He was a ball of pure cuteness & anxiety.  We knew he was ours the minute he face planted into the ground due to relaxing a bit too much while Jeannie was scratching his belly.

His love of small dogs is what lead us to rescue “his dog,” Lashes.  He loved playing & snuggling with her- even though she would “beat him up” & take his toys.  It was jarring to see the head of a 7 lbs. dog inside the mouth of an 180 lbs. one, but we were never worried; Diesel would’ve fought tigers for her- for all of us.

We will miss him sleeping on our feet. Snuggling with us on the couch. Demanding water out of the bathtub. Getting excited when he hears the hair dryer because he loved to lay on the ground and have us “dry” him.  It’s weird being able to leave cords on the ground {he had no problem hurtling the couch but he was too scared to step over a cord on the floor} and not having to worry about him eating Cody’s socks {One of our nieces witnessed him pooping out a sock and in a scarred voice asked, "does he eat pants?"  We assured her that corduroys would never make an appearance}. We laugh when we remember him playing but then suddenly stopping due to bighting his tongue so he would sulk and need one of us to hold him and baby him, because that’s what he was, a big-o baby. Our “sweet precious baby angel.”

Your heavy head is replaced by our heavier hearts. We love you sweet boy. We miss you Bubbahs.
